TEACHING? IN WHAT—AND WHY?
I offer instruction in any aspect of writing, research or even editing that you might want. Whether you are an individual who wants to learn about a particular subject or an organization that wants to provide training to a range of employees, I can devise and/or deliver instruction in a way that meets your needs.

I can help you and your organization improve your basic writing and planning skills, which in turn will save considerable time, effort and resources on written projects. SO, BASICALLY THESE ARE CLASSES IN GRAMMAR AND PUNCTUATION?

WHAT QUALIFIES YOU TO DO THIS?
I have been teaching writing, composition and basic research techniques at the post-secondary level for 10 years, first as a tutorial leader and now as a professor. My teaching experience is diverse—I have taught lectures of 150+ students and discussion groups of fewer than 10—and I can combine my theoretical knowledge of written communication with my years spent working as a freelancer in the public, private and non-profit sectors. In short, I don't just know how to do it—I have done it.

HOW LARGE ARE THE CLASS SIZES THAT YOU TEACH? CAN YOU DELIVER CLASSES ONLINE?
I am happy to teach classes for individuals, entire organizations, or anything in between. My syllabi differ depending on the format of the class, so any initial discussion about the goals of the class will also address the expected enrolment.
I have taught classes with an online component, and I am willing to develop material for online delivery. I do not have the capacity to host such a course, however, so anyone that wants me to develop an online class must provide hosting and the necessary programs (WebCT or Virtual Campus, to name a few) to deliver the content.

This allows them to practice the skill, ask questions should they encounter difficulties and receive my feedback.
